"Farming at Metro's Edge is the title of a two day conference being organized in
Maryland on January 12 and 13, 2013. The purpose of the conference is to,
"...gather together farmers, consumers, citizen advocates, government agencies
and other interested parties....[to] discuss the current state of agriculture in
Frederick and Montgomery counties and identify both the obstacles and
opportunities that exist for sustainable agricultural productivity in the
region.
While the focus will be on Maryland, there may be information
pertinent to work being done in Northern Virginia, and Northern Virginians are
