City of #AlexandriaVA Hosts Nov 15 Community Conversation

"Join a Community Conversation November 15!

For Immediate Release:  November 2, 2012 

More than 1,500 Alexandrians have already participated in the first step of the "What's Next, Alexandria?" initiative by taking a community poll on the future of civic engagement in Alexandria. Please plan to participate in the next step – a Community Dialogue on civic engagement on Thursday, November 15, 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church Activity Center, 2932 King Street.  Your voice is important in ensuring we have a productive discussion in developing citywide principles of engagement for guiding future City initiatives. 

At the Community Dialogue residents will work together on the issue of civic engagement and learn the results of the community poll.  Residents will also hear from Dr. Carolyn J. Lukensmeyer, founder and former President of America Speaks.
