[ ] Box is... a fresh initiative that transforms recycled shipping containers into affordable urban spaces for creativity, community building and empowerment. [ ] Box addresses the social disparity and lot vacancy in Washington DC’s underserved areas.

[art] Box is the first installment and will be placed within the neighborhood cluster of Shaw/Ledroit Park/Cardozo.  [art] Box will shelter and function as a tool to create and maintain outdoor spaces and bring artists and educators together to collaborate with the local community.

For more information about [ ] Box please visit: www.boxcollective.org

You can help [ ] Box by... purchasing a ticket and attending our event! Come join the [ ] Box project team and enthusiasts. Enjoy music, raffles, interactive activities, onsite screen-printing and a short presentation about [ ] Box. All you can drink Beer & Wine and hors d'oeuvres!

*If you are unable to attend but still want to support our cause, you can...purchase a “No Show” ticket or donate directly to the project.  http://boxcollective.org/support

All proceeds will be used to...take [ ] Box to the next stage of development by placing a [ ] Box project in the Shaw/Ledroit/Cardozo neighborhood. The proceeds will first be used to purchase a shipping container and implement the initial alterations. It will allow for the community to experience the benefits and offerings of [ ] Box. It will grow over time through continual development to ultimately reach its full capacity and potential in meeting the social needs of the communities in which it serves.

We hope you can join us!  Please pass this invite along to your friends, colleagues and family!
