Do you swear by Capital Bikeshare? Are you addicted to your NextBus app? Or
do you just plain love smart growth? If so, stop on by for this short film
festival co-hosted by The Coalition for Smarter Growth and Young
Rail~Volutionaries.
The film festival is part of the annual Rail~Volution conference, the
nation's largest annual conference on building sustainable
communities. At last year's Rail~Volution in Portland, Oregon, this
event attracted hundreds of transit and smart growth leaders from
across the country.
***Rail~Volution FilmFest and Happy Hour***
Monday, October 17, 2011
Carnegie Institution for Science, 1530 P St NW, Washington, DC 20005
Program: 6:00pm followed by happy hour at the Big Hunt
Tickets are $25 and RSVPs are required
You'll see short films (like the ones on StreetFilms)
focused on the themes of transit and livable communities. From bus
rapid transit, to streetcars, cycletracks and more, you'll want to be
a part of this virtual multimodal journey and social event.
After the festival, we'll head to The Big Hunt in Dupont for a casual
reception with sustainable transit advocates from every corner of the
country and beyond. Have a drink on CSG, meet some new friends, and
form the lasting networks that will help build livable communities
from coast to coast.
