The Northern Virgina Section of APA-VA is partnering with Virginia Tech to hold a panel discussion on planning jobs/careers with the Virginia Tech Urban Affairs and Planning Program in Alexandria, Virginia. The event will take place at the VT campus in Alexandria, Virginia (1021 Prince Street) on November 7, 2011 at 7pm.
We are looking for volunteers from the Northern Virginia membership to sit on a panel to discuss their current job/field, how they got into planning, what an average work day is like, recommendations for young planners, etc. followed by Q&A. Please let Hillary Zahm, vapanova@gmail.com, know by next Friday, October 21st if you are interested in participating on this panel. We are looking for 5-6 people to participate and share their experience and wisdom.
