NADO Webinar

NADO’s next webinar has just been approved for 1.5 AICP CM credits. The webinar “Social Media and Electronic Participation in Regional Planning and Economic Development” will occur on Wednesday, March 30, from 2 – 3:30 Eastern. The webinar is free but requires registration, which is available online at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/887145003. The webinar will include an overview of social media uses and demographics, as well as case studies of two regional planning and development organizations effectively using social media in their outreach. Speakers will include Mia Zmud, NuStats; Jeremy Holmes, Roanoke Valley-Alleghany Regional Commission; Amy Lowe, Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission; and Jeff Moore, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, as moderator. This webinar is a reprise of a session held jointly during the 2010 National Rural Transportation Conference and AMPO Annual Conference—since it was one of the most popular sessions for those who attended the conferences, the webinar should offer great information, and it includes different program staff of regional planning and development organizations as panel members.
