Background:
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) engaged NCB Capital Impact to implement a 5-year grant to foster rapid replication of the Green House model of residential living – creating 10-12 person homes providing skilled long-term care or assisted living in place of institutional models. Although this ongoing technical assistance effort is currently grant funded, it is transitioning to a self-sustaining initiative.
Position Purpose:
The Project Guide acts as the key contact person for project adopters, maintaining a supportive relationship and facilitating the technical assistance and consulting services of the entire Green House Project team over the average 36 months of project development. The Project Associate supports the work of the Project Guides through research, calendar management, training coordination, tool development and other project specific needs.
The Project Associate will be based at the NCB Green House Project national office in Arlington, VA, and will provide the following support services for the Project Guides:
• Supporting events that will affect The Green House mission
• Co-training with Project Guide at project sites as needed
• Scheduling of all project and Project Guide activities.
• Maintenance of calendar of activities for all projects according to the Project Implementation Plans.
• Coordinate updates and maintenance of Project databases.
• Planning and coordination of all major Project Guide conference calls, Project-to-Project calls and other key communication activities.
• Oversee shipment of training materials and ensure clarity of training responsibilities
• In coordination with Project Guides, research and development of project tools.
• Coordination and implementation of all project survey and evaluation activities.
• Support of project communication as appropriate.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
Other Responsibilities Include:
• Attendance at weekly Green House Team Meetings and retreats.
• Participation in development of project training programs and other technical assistance tools.
• Support of business development and conference activities.
• Support of community awareness, public policy and other external advocacy.
The specific day-to-day responsibilities are as follows:
(1) Support Project Guide in their delivery of technical assistance to the projects through every stage of the Project Development Plan (50%)
(2 ) Support project communication through scheduling, coordinating, managing agenda and database notes, and facilitating discussions that
will engage The Green House principles and practices of the model (20%)
(3) Support project development by collaborating with the project guide to create tools, resources and call opportunities throughout the project
plan. (15%)
(4) Collaborate with The Green House team to communicate and plan logistics for the various trainings and events that affect all adopters. These include, but aren’t limited to Green House Educator, Coaching Supervision, and the Annual Conference. (15%)
Bachelor's Degree, Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Proficiency in web-based applications including Webinar apps, Coursework and experience in related field. Experience can include employment, internship, and substantial volunteer involvement. Knowledge and/or experience in aging, long-term care operations and “culture change”. Successful understanding of The “Green House Model” / principles / practices, strong organizational skills. Strong written and verbal communications skills and strong relationship building and critical thinking skills.
